Our Mission

A family friendly gathering to celebrate everything that is Electronic Dance Music.

Today those original values still hold true, except for, the family friendly gathering has now become “A Family Friendly Dance Music Mini-Festival”.

It is still created by friends and family, for friends and family and very much community focussed.

In fact, at the end of 2022, Big Beat Playground officially became a Community Interest Company!! We are delighted to be formally recognised as a Social Enterprise.

The music is aimed at the grown-ups, but the whole event, remains well and truly aimed at family life.

With seven distinct areas, Big Beat Playground offers a little something for everyone.  A Soft Play Area for the very small, Creative Space for the little ones, Tropical Hangout for the bigger girls and boys, connect with nature in the Bamboo Forest, a Wellbeing Hideaway offering relaxation and calm, the Terrace DJ and bar has a laid back and friendly vibe and the Main Room is for everyone to dance, socialise and have some proper family fun!!!

Big Beat Playground comes together under one roof, full of Smiley Faces!

Lights, bubbles, balloons, confetti and glitter are guaranteed!!

The music will always be Electronic Dance Music (EDM), as the saying goes “House Music is a Feeling” and in the short time we have together we will always bring you the Very Best of House. Club classics, favourite deep grooves and truly uplifting melodies!! (PS for those in the family who are not “addicted to house”, there is always plenty more to do)

Saying that……Halloween 2022 saw the introduction of another new room……The Tiki Lounge!! This time the music took an exciting twist, Reggae, Calypso and Carnival!! A huge success, which will definitely lead to a future event music takeover!!! Watch this space.

There will not be high entrance prices or big-name acts.

These will be affordable events with local performers.

At every event, just like at the very beginning, an allocation of free family tickets will be made available to low-income families. There will always be something free and fun for everyone.

Big Beat Playground is for families, for music, for fun, for Smiley Faces.
